Location of Los Angeles Kwik-E-Mart?

The Los Angeles Times article says that one of the dozen Kwik-E-Marts set up nationally is in Los Angeles--but it doesn't say where. Anybody know the location?

  1. I'm not sure which one has 'Apu Nahasapeemapetilon' behind the counter but after all the info I've gleaned from you posts re: Chinese restaurants finally I can offer this:

    1. From 7-11's website:
      11143 Venice Boulevard
      Los Angeles, CA 90034

This is close to my house -- might have to check it out. Someone told me they drove by there on Tuesday night at like 11:30 and there were a ton of people in the parking lot.

Thanks. My son went to the one in the Bay Area and he had to wait in line to get inside.

Yeah, ours gets crowded too... especially at night since they got those darn movie light things going...

They also sell out rather quickly... but restock every morning... P. just brought me a Pink Donut for Breakfast and it was PURE sugar... closer to cotton candy than any Donut I've had... Now I'm afraid to try the Krusty-Os!

          1. re: Dommy

WARNING: In this heat wave keep those pink donuts cool! THEY WILL MELT!!! Also, to avoid the crowds, make your visit after midnight. I mean, it's not like they're gonna close...

            1. re: Dommy

Just came back from Venice and Sepulveda. Wasn't that crowded--I'm sure busier than usual, but there were parking spaces available in front. Full of pink donuts but didn't see any Krusty-Os. I presume things will get crazy in the evening.

              1. re: Chandavkl

I went about 1:00pm and all they had were pink donuts and squishies of course. Everything else was sold out

              2. re: Dommy

I had one of the pink donuts last night. It's a glazed donut covered with pink frosting and sprinkles. It was really fresh and good and made me feel gross after eating it but I dont' care and am totally going to buy one whenever I stop by. THE END.

          2. There is one on Venice and Sepulveda in West LA

            1. There's one in Burbank (Olive and Verdugo). Stopped in for some Krusty-O's cereal.

Some regular 7-11s have buzz cola too.

That's interesting and it shows what a great promo/idea this is.

I normally don't shop at 7-Eleven (although on a rare occasion I will go in for one of their nachos), but because of the Kwik-E-Mart makeover, I've now stopped in 2x in the past of couple days.

                        1. re: ipsedixit

not the nachos, ipse anything but the nachos. i've lost all faith in you.

As Homer once said to Apu at the Kwik-E-Mart:

"I'm looking for something of an after-dinner burrito..."

                    2. re: alliebear

They don't sell Duff Beer -- I'm told -- because it's a PG-13 movie promotion and they are trying to lure in kids.

Cans of Duff would have been great collector's items.

                      1. re: PaulF

                        bwahahah! Duff cans exist!

Fox had my husband make some for a birthday basket for Groening they commisioned from his workplace. he made a 6 pack. Thye looked great. So I guess Groening's got a 6er of duff

                        1. re: Diana

I just meant they aren't selling them in the Kwik-E-Mart.

I've got a can of Boy Howdy beer from Creem Magazine. That's pretty good, huh?

                          1. re: PaulF

                            nifty.

I would really like a Billy Beer can. It was actually beer, I know (well, that's debateable) but I just want one. the beer don't need to be inside.

                    3. re: ipsedixit

I saw Krusty Os at the 7-11 on RIverside and Camarillo , so I guess some of the stuff is at non-Kwik E mart locations.

                      1. re: kiwi

Regular 7-11s haver their Slurpee machines appear as "Squishee" machines and their soda dispensers say "Buzz Cola." They're also in on the Simpsons marketing thing, though not to the same extend as the K-E-M's.

                        1. re: kiwi

Yep my son really wanted some Buzz Cola but when we went to the Kwik-e mart it was all sold out but they had a ton of it at the 7-11 in Inglewood.

                      2. When I drove by the one on Venice and Sepulveda the other day there was a line out the door and parking enforcement in full effect.
