Sacramento Anniversary Dinner - review my list

Husband and I have an anniversary coming up. We have recently moved from the Bay Area and are looking for recommendations on Sacramento area fine dining. Doesn't have to be incredibly fancy, just special occasion food/pricing. We were thinking of either Bibas, Masque (in EDH), or Waterboy. Any comments or suggestions?

How about Mulvaney's? The food is delicious and the atmosphere is fairly intimate.

LOL.... we just recently did the reverse of your move, after 25 years in Sacramento/Roseville, we've relocated to Fremont. Biba, yes, emphatically! When you call, ask for a smaller, quiet table towards the left rear of the restaurant. When it's busy, it's loud. Masque, not so much, it's fallen off somewhat. Waterboy, always a classic and highly enjoyable. Bennyboy's suggestion of La Provence is good, again, when it's busy, it's loud, but they also have a very nice patio, if it's not too warm. The Kitchen, amazing place, but you have to make a reservation months in advance and they only take reservations on specific days of the month. Weird system, but it works. If it were me, I'd go to the Waterboy. Happy anniversary.

how about The Kitchen? A little pricey, but a good experience. We also like Zinfindel Grill on fair Oaks...

Add La Provence in Roseville to the list. All are great.
