OH MY WORD, BOULEVARD!!!
Sunday night 4 of us ate at Boulevard. We are talking perfection. What service, what a beautiful place, and the tastes of everything. We are very close friends and share food.
Appetizer; soft shelled crab, tuna tartare, scallops on risotto, and the winner. . . crab and green papaya. All were perfect, but the crab dish, marvelous.
Entrees: beef fillet; pork rib, pork belly, and pork tenderloin; salmon on a corn dish with country ham; and the winner is lamb with morels, English peas, and fingerling potatoes. really there are no losers in this, All were wonderful.
Before the dessert we had a chesse tray. very good
We rarely have dessert, but had to go for it this time. We had sorbet, 3 flavors; creme brulee; s'mores this was ice cream, brownies and a mousse; and I don't remember the 4th dessert. All were wonderful.
We had 5 cocktails, and an expensive bottle of wine $88. ( We had much to celebrate ) Total bill was $427, which we added $80 tip. If you ignore the wine and cocktails, a very reasonable bill for wonderful food.
This has become my most favorite place. It was a lovely evening, the waiter was fun, but not our new best friend, the flavors were incredible, beautiful setting. Why did we wait so long to eat there?
