I'd suggest any of the following: Thai food at Montien on Tremont, black & bleu burgers at Intermission with hot homemade potato chips, anything at Penang's on Washington, or munchies like shrimp on the rocks or quesadillas at Rock Bottom. I've always liked Rock Bottom even though it's a chain and the bar is kind of cool with the ice strip down the middle to keep your drafts nice and cold!

Rock Bottom is what it is. A pub chain with pub food, a small step up from the Bennigans next door. You are fine there sticking to the deep fried basics.

Agreed. Rock Bottom is good for beer, bad for food.

Tantric is pretty good for Indian. It's not a great area on the whole: lots of chains (PF Changs, Maggiano's, Legal, Flemings, etc.)

Teatro on Tremont Street is one of the best resaurants in the Theater District. Another great option is Pigalle on Charles Street which is a stone's throw away from the theater.

Thanks. I was thinking of the Parker House. How convenient is that and is it good?

Parker House is reasonably convenient but not nearly as good as the other places named.

If you have a desire to see the historic Parker House, have a drink there..or better yet Lock Ober.

I'll also sugget KO Prime for a great skirt steak, Troquet for great food/wine pairings, Montien for Thai, Penang for Malaysian..and all of Chinatown is close.

Ditto on 9Lives' recs for Montien, Penang, and Chinatown -- those would be top of my list every time. Quick, tasty, close. Have fun at the show!
