Fried Ice Cream in the SGV?

Anyone know where to get the best fried ice cream in Pasadena/Alhambra/Monterey Park?

I have officially found the most amazing fried ice cream in the SGV, and thought I would give my two cents back to the OP (i.e. me). Daisy Mint on Colorado in Pasadena makes the most amazing fried ice cream I have ever had. And, to top it off, its only 4.88 including tax. WHAT A BARGAIN! It has a slab of vanilla ice cream goodness with the most amazing, thick, crunchy, and not oily crust you could imagine. I recommend those in search of fried ice cream to try it. So amazing. And they don't get mad if you go in just to have that. I'm sure it'd be nice with one of their tea selections or a coffee.

My favorite is the version at Mijares in Pasadena. Margarita's in Pasadena also does a decent version. I also had a very nice one at Acapulco.

kabuki in pasadena has a decent version of fried ice cream on the dessert menu

While not a popular rec on this board, Afloat Sushi in Old Pas (on Colorado Blvd.) also has the tempura battered green tea variety. I shared this with a friend. I thought the coating was a bit too cakey, but it was pretty good.

I like the deep fried ice cream at El Torito, personally.

Dunno if it's the best, but if you want the Asian variety, try Hanabi in Temple City. Tempura batter coated.

Don't know if it's the best but it's on the dessert menu at Enrique's Tamales on the corner of Ivy and Colorado in Monrovia (one block east of Myrtle Ave.)
