a reasonably good, reasonably priced seafood restaurant. kind of out of place, but there is a small community of greeks nearby, many of whom can trace their roots back to the island of ikaria. if you're a fan of what baltimoreans call "padded oyster", a sandwich or platter here will hit the spot.

Nyebaby,
FUNNY you should mention this, my SO and I stumbled upon this place after an outing at Mercer County Park. We saw it from the road and thought. Well, lets give it a try! Seafood in Central jersey when we live right on the Shore? Let me tell you, we were practically jumping with joy from our little find. The place looks like somthing out of 1960's middle of america but the food was outstanding and the prices were so cheap we were practically laughing! We started with a dozen clams which were very delicious and fresh. I ordered the crabcake sandwhich which i took off the bun b/c the crabcake was so big and full of crab it didn't need anythign else and it was litereally one of the best crabcakes i have ever had.(hardly any filler) I came to find out that they get voted best crabcakes by the Trentonian year after year. My SO had the shrimp salad sandwhich which was also delicious. The shrimps were so big and succulent with just the right mix of veggies and mayo. The sides of coleslaw, macaroni salad, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were all home-made and really amazing. We didn't leave a drop of food on our plates. The best part of it was the bill. All of the food cost us an unbelievable $20!!!! It would ahve been 2x that down by us! ReallyI almost died! When we paid the bill up front we gave our compliments to the owner and told him we were from the Shore and this was some of the best and freshest seafood we had ever had. He asked us if we were from around the Point Pleasant area. When we said yes he said he wasn't surprised and that many people from our area make the drive out to his place. Really its worth the drive but get there early the place was packed when we left at 1p.m.!!!!-

I've passed this place so many times (and used to work right down the street) but never ventured in. After reading your review I'm kicking myself for never stopping in for lunch. Next time I'm visiting my MIL I'll have to sneak in a visit. Do you know if they're open for dinner or just lunch?
