Looking to take out some snacky Korean food staples. I live very close to Koreatown. Where do I go? What should I order?

  1. You can get lots of pre-prepared items in the deli section at Assi Supermarket: balloon flower, seasoned spinach, fish balls and cakes, rice "cake" in tubular and ovalette shapes. Good as side dishes or if you want to improvise your own bibimbap, stir fry, etc. Some prepared dishes, and fresh sauces that taste like they're made in-house. Plus everyday staples and good looking, reasonable produce. They're at 8th and Oxford and you can probably search this board for mentions, as well as for the markets at Koreatown Galleria, 3250 W. Olympic Blvd, and Koreatown Plaza, 928 S. Western at 9th St. Enjoy!
