Cyrus - reservation policy?

  • 8

Does anyone know the reservation policy for Cyrus? Is it 2 months like French Laundry or 60 days, or what? Thanks.

Thanks, but I've already read the website and it didn't say how far in advance you can book.

        Check it out on opentable.com

    2. If it doesn't specify, I'd assume you can make a reservation for any available date at any time.

      1. Thanks, but again, Open Table doesn't list the specific time frame.

Replying to Ruth, I know that there was a limit since I couldn't make a reservation (yesterday - June 30th) for Sept.

So I called. Looks like time frame is 2 months, like TFL. However, something interesting for others to note - you can't make a reservation two months in advance on Open Table (couldn't do it today for Sept 1st) but when I called, they said I could make one over the phone for Sept 1st. Lesson learned: sometimes it pays to call instead of just relying on Open Table. Thanks anyway.

Just to clarify, did you call June 30, or was that just Open Table? Is it possible the Open Table time limits are different than calling the restaurant direct?

Called June 30th, couldn't get Sept. 1st. Called July 1st, could get Sept. 1st. Checked on Open Table on July 1st, couldn't get Sept. 1st. (I may check tomorrow and Tuesday, just to see if Sept 1st is available then.)

            Hope that made sense!

        2. I think it may also depend on what time of year. My hubby made reservations there for my December birthday only a couple of weeks in advance. French Laundry was still a 2 month wait, even in Dec. September is a very busy season for the wine country, since it's harvest time, and it is just beautiful during that time of year. Cyrus was amazing BTW. It's probably my favorite all time dinner. I've had food that was as good in a couple of places (like Alex at Wynn Las Vegas) but the service at Cyrus was outstanding without being snotty or stuffy, or (worse?) overly friendly. They also gave us a copy of the menu we had with Writergirl Birthday Dinner across the top. Nice!
