Black Currants

I found a source for black currants at my local Italian grocery. I figured they were hard to find so I bought some quite reasonably and now am wondering what I can do with them. Any suggestions from my fellow "hounds"?

Blackcurrant (cassis) sorbet is a popular flavor in France, and it is sublime. If you have the equipment, I'd make a batch.

These are great ideas.Thank you. I only bought about a pound this time but I was amazed to get them for $1.69 a pound. I thought that was pretty reasonable.

They go nicely in homemade scones. I substitute maple syrup for sugar when making sweet scones.

they are delicious with some sugar and cream.

how many pounds did you buy?

if pounds of them, blackcurrant jam is delicious, or buy some other soft fruits and make summer pudding.
