Going there for a party this evening. Should I eat somewhere else first? If not, what should I order? TIA hounds.

  1. Eat somewhere else first, like at In-N-Out? LOL.

Like most hotels, food looks better than it tastes. It's passable, but definitely not someplace I would go to voluntarily, or on my own dime.

So, yeah, a quick double-double or a No. 19 at Langer's would be just fine.

      1. Just had dinner there this week. The Copper River salmon, the farmer's market salad, tortilla soup, and filet mignon were all delicious. Had a great bottle of wine and the service was excellent. We skipped dessert for lack of time, but it was not bad at all.

It's been awhile since I've been there, I only really remember those lethal martinis, I thought the food was passable. But those desserts were terrible! They looked pretty but tasted like cardboard.

            I was there yesterday!
The desserts are still taste like cardboard, the mcarthy salad was prepared in a food processor so people with no teeth can eat it, tasted nasty! the crab cakes were terrible, not even a hint of Maryland blue crab taste, I don't know who they are fooling! maybe the Hollywood scene! The Tuna tartar was OK, a little tasteless! even the bread was marginal, very disappointing, specially after we found out how much all that crappy food costs!
All the help were very nice though!
Save your money, go eat somewhere else!!!

I try to never use the word nasty in relation to food, but in this case, I would have to agree -- the McCarthy salad was indeed nasty.
Their eggs benedict used to be wonderful though -- I wonder if they can still do these right?
