Must eats in LA & Westlake
Howdy! Haven't been to LA in 10+ years. Going for 2 days for a wedding. Looking for must eats that the locals love. Cravings: sushi, korean bbq, cuban. Here's my deal: Staying near Beverly Hills for 1st night; Staying in Westlake Village for 2nd night. Traveling with 6 month old. (she's great at restaurants- she's done well at Tao in Vegas to whole in the wall joints). Thanks in advance!
I would go with Sushi Zo for your sushi fix (though they have no cooked dishes and very limited selection of hand rolls, but if you just want sushi it is great). You could go for lunch or dinner (dont' think he has lunch on Saturday thought -- might check). I think you'll be fine with the baby too -- just request a table. I've seen other infants/toddlers in there.
For Korean, I would suggest Chosun Galbi or Sa Rit Gol. The latter is my favorite, but they have a much wider range than just BBQ, so if you are solely focused on BBQ, then you might try Chosun Galbi.
