Late lunch today in TO? Open Table results not promising.

So, thanks to the advice I got from the v. helpful Toronto 'hounds, my husband was booked for his lunch at George at 12:30 today. But, due to flight delays, he's had to move it to 2pm (that's when their kitchen closes, but they said they would keep it open past then if he arrived by 2pm - very nice), and looks like he's likely not to make that time.

I checked Open Table for reservations at 2:30 or 3:00 - came up with Le Trou Normand and Bymark, neither of which seem to get rave reviews on the board lately. Other options seem to be Jump Cafe, Mizu, Urban.

Any thoughts on these, or other ideas for a late lunch? Price/cuisine not an issue.

Thanks so very much!

  1. I have always been a fan of Fieramosca in Yorkville. www.fieramoscatoronto.com/home.htm Website says open until 2:45, but you may want to check. Attentive, excellent service and some beautiful flavours.
There is also Pangaea www.pangaearestaurant.com/pangaea.html. I haven't been in a long while, but know many who love it. Lunch served until 5.

Thanks for the suggestions - all moving targets right now it seems - they may just do dinner instead, but good to have options!

    2. May be too late but Harbour 60 serves throughout the afternoon. They also have a nice patio out back that is open all day with full service.

      1. Thanks again for all the help - they're going to George for dinner, after all this!
