Are there any good, New York style bagels in San Jose? Tell me where! Thanks

Good bagels can be found at the Friday morning Cupertino Farmer's Market (9:00 to 1:00) Upon entering the market at the top end, the booth is on the right near the entrance. It's a booth that sells Asian foods, but they also sell good bagels. Get there early, as they sometimes sell out.

My favorite place to get bagels is Main Street Bagels(http://www.mainstbagels.com/) on Blossom Hill Road. It's a small locally owned place (not a chain although they have a second store in Morgan Hill that I haven't been to) and the bagels are outstanding. When you get a bagel it tastes as described (i.e. oftentimes you get a blueberry bagel and it tastes like a plain bagel with some purple flecks in it...not the case here), and the spreads are great as well. Definitely worth checking out.

I stopped eating bagels after I moved out here... but I think the closest thing I had to a proper bagel was from House of Bagels. Although, I cross-referenced Yelp to make sure my memory was correct, and people rave about all sorts of blasphemous flavors, so now I'm not so sure.

San Jose doughnuts, on the other hand, are a different story... I say, eat doughnuts while you're here (Stan's!) and get your bagels whenever you go back east.

Closest thing I can find to a good NY style bagel is Anna's in Fremont. South Fremont, so not far from SJ.
