Blackmarket Bakery review

OK, I decided on Blackmarket for my husband's super fancy fondant, 2 layer crazy decorated beautiful birthday was awesome! The cake was 2 flavors- one was the pecan cake and caramel icing (backwater belle) the other was a white cake with berry crush (Mister Special). Both flavors were awesome. The cake was gobbled up in no time because people ate at least 2 pieces each! The fondant decorations were so cool (it was a 1967 theme party- the cake was covered in paisleys and flowers). I was very happy with the quality of the cake and decoration!!!

Irvine -- they've got a stand at the Irvine farmer's market that carries some interesting things -- potato curry stuffed breads, marshmallows (passionfruit, banana, etc), chocolate brioche, and more. Good, but not great imo.

They're mostly farmer's market based, with a tiny shop near JW Airport.

I disagree, by the way, with emily's assessment -- while I don't love the stuffed focaccia, their shortbreads and filled croissants are excellent.
