Luxor Emporium Cafe

Has anyone tried the Luxor Emporium Cafe or know of any other places that might have Egyptian food?

  1. I'm assuming you mean the one on 7th Ave in downtown Calgary? I've eaten there a couple of times and it was pretty good, and while most of the menu is pro forma "middle eastern," they do have koshari and as I recall, it was delicious. Really expensive for such an inexpensive dish, by Egypt standards, but as most Egyptian owned shawarma places, like King Tut on 12th Ave in the beltline and Sammy's on 17th, don't even attempt to include Egyptian dishes, this might be your only hope, aside from making it at home (and koshari looks to be pretty easy to make at home)
