Looking for a moderately priced but delicious italian dinner on the upper east side... Any votes on which of these is better? I'd also be interested in WVillage italian restaurants as well - I wasn't so impressed with Po and am looking for other options down there. Thanks!

  1. I've not been to Vespa - but I'd choose Spigolo over Sfoglia, given the great meal I had at Spigolo a couple of months ago - can't remember the details I'm afraid - I think their menu is pretty seasonal anyway - and the less than glowing reports on CH about Sfoglia (I tried it when it first opened, liked it, but may be going downhill) combined w/ the apparent impossibility of getting a reservation.

This is an easy one!!! Spigilo of course!!!!!!!!!!!!! 81st and 2nd-everything is good-portions are not your massive mamma mia type but cooked to order gems-I eat there at least 5 times a week but u need reservations for indoor seating, not for bar or outdoor. However bar is on 7 seater so make reservations-way ahead of time or sit al fresco-
