I was in Pasadena today and felt like a Philly sandwich so I stopped at Fredos just before 11:00. They were closed and I didn't se any signs of life inside. The sign on the door says that they open at 11:00. I waited about 10 minutes and left disappointed. I then went up Lake to get some gelato but they don't open until noon and it was only about 11:20. So back to the Valley and some tri tip at Outdoor Grill as a consolation.

  1. They also have a location in Alhambra, I wonder if they're still around.

    1. Once I waited twenty min and then he finally showed-up. I got my sandwich and left. The roll was a day old and hard. Maybe you did better than me.

      Fredo's Phillys
720 North Lake Avenue (east side of the street, just north of Orange Grove)

      1. Never had a bad sandwich, I am always there after 12 so I do not know what time the open. The sandwiches and service has always been stellar! My favorite cheesesteak place.

        1. I just finished my cheesesteak and man was it good. I have never been to Philly so I don't know what to compare it to but it was really really tasty. South street sucks in general but when you compare it to Fredo's, forget about it.
