Which would you choose, Chez Nous and Old Inn on the Green?

We are coming out to the berkshires this weekend and will have dinner at Mill on the Floss on friday and I'm trying to decide between Chez Nonus and Old Inn for dinner on sat, any thoughts or opinions?

I loved Old Inn on the Green, I was there a while ago but had a wonderful dinner there and such a lovely place. I am from the west coast so this was a very New England experience which made it special.

Old Inn on the Green is one of the best in Berkshire County. Peter Platt is one of the most talented chefs on the planet. And that ain't all...James Stahl is going to find you that exact right bottle of wine. The menu is interesting and, for food sophisticates, right up their respective alleys. Old Inn, for fine dining, is not to be missed...it is a cut above...just ask Nicole, she'll agree...in south county, Old Inn and John Andrews are "must trys."

old inn on the green IS wonderful. i havent been in a few years, but it is awesome and i have heard only fabulous things about it. i have also heard really, really, really good things about chez nous too, but i havent been there yet. i dont think you will go wrong with either place.

                "I'm confused", LOL
Niccole, are you ever gonna leave-go that J.A. umbilical cord and go to Rouge, which is excellent, and Chez Nous, which I haven't been to either? I'm looking forward to a couple of your cinematic reviews!

Also, the restaurants are of two different genres. Old Inn is, as are Blantyre and Wheatleigh, a special occasion place. It is quite different from Chez Nous in terms of menu, wine list and ambience. And speaking of ambience, there is no electricity in any othe dining rooms...candles provide the lighting. Before Peter Platt was at Old Inn, he was chef at Wheatleigh and had been for years and years. I am thrilled that he was able to buy the Inn from Brad and Leslie. The menu is really wonderful; the level of sophistication is there, and the portions are, by no means, precious; nor are they suupersized (I know that is not the American way). Give Old Inn a try...you will not be disappointed.

I'm not familiar with Old Inn, but you cannot go wrong with Chez Nous. It is fabulous. There are several threads on this board that mention it, if you're interested.
