  1. Where in Orlando? It's a big place.

Tell me what you consider a good Japanese steakhouse. Are you thinking of the teppan style, similar to Benihana? Kobe Steakhouse is a chain here with several locations.

    1. I haven't found a good one yet, but you might want to try the one at Amura on Sand Lake Road, the one at Wazzabi in Winter Park on Gay Road, or the Mikado at the Orlando World Center Marriott. I had a very mediocre experience at the Amura one, so maybe one of the other two would be a better bet. I haven't tried them.

      1. I loved the steak at Ruth's Chris in Winter Park, and also, if you want teppenyaki/Japanese-style, Kobe Steakhouse was the way to go (their white sauce, noodles, and their white ice cream cake is AMAZING!)!!!

        1. DH and I went to Kobe for my birthday and loved it! The steak is great, but it's the rice and noodles that are out of this world.

          1. I've been so several of these around town over the years, though it's not my dining preference due to not eating meat.

Kobe is a nice quality, never had any issues. Ran-Getsu (http://www.rangetsu.com/) on I-drive was fine, but expensive for "fine", IMHO. It's a large restaurant and they offer a floor show, which is different from the other steakhouses.

I'd vote for Wazzabi (http://www.wazzabisushi.com/) and call ahead to reserve a table in the grill room. You can still order sushi, etc for apps and the pricing is a bit more on par.

            Cheers!
