  1. Hi: There's a store in the North End of Boston that has online ordering:

I live in the area so can't say as to online service but their products are excellent.

Their online is as spot on as the store! I've been shopping on line with them since they started. You can get nearly everything on line they sell in the store.

DItalia.com has a lot of good basics.

          1. I've gotten some great stuff from, http://www.cybercucina.com/ they don't sell exclusively italian, but quite a bit

            1. Buon Italia in the Chelsea Market building in NYC is very good. http://www.buonitalia.com/ They carry a lot of obscure products that you might not find in an Italian store from a smaller city with a smaller Italian population. Plus, Chelsea Market is the home of the Food Network. You may buy a bottle of olive oil that Emeril Lagasse or Giada De Laurentiis looked at. Or walked by. I'm not sure why anyone would care about that but I'm always surprised to find how many people do.

              1. I've gotten chocolate bars I like from AG Ferrari. Haven't tried other stuff but it looks like they have some tasty selections and you can shop by region which I like.

Their store in Little Italy in NYC is one of my first go-to's when we're there. The website has great offerings also.

                    1. I'd also check:

http://www.salumeriabiellese.com/inde... (some of the best cured meats and sausage

http://www.igourmet.com/ (general specialty, but their Italian tuna is very good

http://www.zingermans.com/ (the Martelli pasta is supposed to be great according to F&W, but I haven't tried it. They even have a plug from Atlantic Monthly on their site

                      1. Salumeria Biellese in New York City -- linked by poster above. Superb meats, cheeses and other specialties.

This sounds great. I've saved the info. I see they have a restaurant also. Thanks.

                        2. Very expensive, but has products not found on other online sites:

I agree, Gustiamo is rather expensive, but so far the quality of the products I've purchased from them have been exceptional.
