Does anyone know of a store which carries a decent selection of French mineral waters in Los Angeles? I know that Surfas and Bay Cities do not. I am thinking of Contrex, Vichy Célestines, and Badoit in particular. I am certainly open to anything new.

Thank you very much.

Try Stroh's Gourmet on Abbot Kinney and Santa Clara in Venice. Although it's been a little while since I last ate there, Jason carried an excellent selection of French mineral waters (I believe including Badoit) along with other unique foodie goods.

Market Gourmet in Venice carries Badoit, usually in glass & plastic, Contrex & Vichy. Unfortunately, they aren't always in stock. You can order cases from them though.

I used to buy Badoit at Surfas and Wally's. Surfas said they stopped carrying it, but I seem to recall they still have the smaller bottles sometimes. I rarely see it for sale, although Cafe Midi on La Brea has it on the menu.

I would give Wally's wine shop a call.
