Stone's Ginger Wine in the US?

This is something my Grandfather back home in England told me about. He says it's pretty strong, and one sips it more as a spirit. He says it's good to mix with Scotch (you'd better sip it!)

Anyone had it or seen it over here?

Stones green ginger wine and OJ.

        Classic aussie breakfast combo.

I've bought it in New York. Used more for cooking though.

I'm on Long Island and all the larger liquor stores have it. They keep it maybe with the cordials or sherries? Definitely not with the wines. Just ask!

that's what us brits call a "whiskey mack" it's 2 shots of ginger wine (stone's is truly the best) to 1 shot of scotch (a blend is fine - don't go wasting the single malt on this as the ginger wine has most of the control over the taste) and NEVER put ice in it! sip away preferably in a cosy english pub on a cold wintery night. sadly i live in LA but it's still a delicious spicey tipple! and yes wally's has it http://www.wallywine.com/p-11266-nv-s...

thanks for these tasty drink recs. i had a bottle of stones once (bought it here in ny out of curiosity) but i was not sure what to do with and didn't care much for it straight. i had it in the refrigerator. does it belong there? or can stay out at the bar?
