Family-friendly restaurants in Rockland County

Looking for family-friendly restaurants in Rockland. More than just "kid menus"...should really cater to families!

  1. Oddly enough, one of the most family oriented restaurants in Rockland County is an Irish bar in Nyack. O'Donoghue's is in its third generation of family ownership and lots of families push their way past the long and generally friendly bar to the back dining room where there is a family-friendly menu and a host of daily specials. Be sure to leave room for (at least) one of Mary O'Donoghue's home-made pies or cakes.

Marigrill's, in the strip mall behind the Nanuet Mall, features top-notch salads, soups and grilled items made by a CIA-trained chef. The setting is high-end fast food, but the food is better than at many much fancier places. Prices are a bargain considering the quality of the food. Great onion rings and the best grilled cheese sandwich ever.

    1. Try Rick's Club American in Congers (

Also, my kids like the hibachi at U-Me Sushi on Route 59 in Nanuet (not the best food in the world, but it's good enough and lots of fun for all ages).
