Rich and Dense Cupcake Recipes

I tend to not be into cupcakes and cakes. They are often so light and fluffy and unsatisfying to me. But I was reading the thread about everyones' favorite cupcake recipes and saw (and saved) that recipe for the black bottom cupcakes. Can't wait to make them!

But it got me wondering if there are other rich and more dense cupcake recipes out there. Can you all make recommendations?
