My wife and I ate here for our aniversary. Fantastic. It's a little small and there is NO waiting room. The "bar" is basically two stools, but the food was great. We had the tasting menu and the chef was very understanding to substitutions based on my wife's allergies. Good place.

I've only been to Spigolo once, but was very impressed. Sfoglia has been pretty panned lately by the board, but has gotten raves in various NYC publications, hence their being booked up 6 weeks in advance, per their website. You might also want to look into Centolire and Elios. I actually had a very good meal at Prima Vera in the early spring, but someone else was paying, which was a good thing.

      2. Spigilo is by far the best-its on 81st and second-u wont get a table this late but outdoor seating is first come first served BUT do not sit in barseat next to front door-that is MY seat-i eat there every day-the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        1. I love Due on 3rd between 79th and 80th. The food is consistently good and I think it's moderately priced. The restaurant has great pastas and I always enjoy the fish specials. The eggplant appetizer is my favorite!
