Indian and Greek in S.F.???

Any suggestions for either Indian or Greek restaraunts in San. Francisco? We are staying slightly south of SOMA near the Museum.

    Hi Tanya,

    There really is no good greek food places here. If you get a chance the best Greek food is in Montreal, greatness.

    There is a nice upscale place that serves good food and always a nice dining experience- As much as I like it here it never feels really authentic to me.

      I think Kokkari is beautiful, excellent waiters, excellent food.

        Second on Kokkari. Be sure to get their spreads as an appetizer, share a tomato salad for the table. As far as dessert go, Kokkari is amazing: a fantastic plain yogurt sorbet with fruit granita, killer baklava with praline ice cream, and a warm souffle chocolate concoction.

        Mezes on Chestnut isn't a bad choice either.

          I really enjoy the food at Mezes. They have a great shrimp and ouzo sauce dish, tiramasalata with well grilled pita is also very good. You can pretty much always get a table within 20 minutes too, which I like and it is reasonably priced.
