<content>Joe and I went to Cal's (used to be called Calamari's) last night. I did an extensive writeup with pics on my blog, but I'll put a little here.

The menu was nice, and it was innovative for West Springfield, but they didn't quite pull it off for me. We had a party of 8, and were charged an 18% tip, but the waitress was the worst part of our meal. She was probably new and shouldn't have had a table of 8 along with other tables.

Some people got really good food. Some was good, one of the appetizers was rotton (clams casino) and had to be sent back.

If I lived there, I'd probably go again, but I wouldn't rave about it to a chowhound.
