The Pour House in Tinton Falls?

Angelina Jun 23, 2007 07:42 AM

o.k. so I am supposed to meet a few friends for lunch today and someone picked this place. I have never been. How is the food. I know it is more of a burger place, but anything else stand out?

I haven't been there in a while but you just can't beat half price burgers at 1am when you're wasted. Not sure how 12pm changes the equation though. :)

Is it also owned by the same owner as Main Street in Ocean?
If so, is each place different?

Sorry I'm late with the reply... Wish I'd seen it sooner. This place is a MUST for their French Onion soup... Absolutely the best I've ever had anywhere! Now, having said this, it's been a couple of years since I last ate there and things may have changed, but in the past, the French Onion soup was absolutely... to use the cliche... to die for!!

This is one of my favorite places in monmouth county in a pub type atmosphere. sandwiches are very very good and they put together nice portions that will always satisfy me.

dont pass up the toll house cookie pie- it really is worth hitting the place for dessert alone.

Well I'm late for the reply but wanted to know what you ate and your review. I always do the burger but others say most everything is good....and consistantly good. Nothing stands out but if you go in knowing you are not there for a "dining experience", you are there to eat some good grub and have some driks then I believe most folks will be happy.

Thanks, Robert! It actually was pretty good for standard "pub" food. I had a grilled chicken wrap with roasted peppers, and veggies on a sundried tomato wrap. (nothing so out of the oridinary) It was very good. My friends had burgers and one had the same as me. I tasted the burger and it was really good. I like how they cook the chicken and burgers behind the bar...like Barnacle Bill's.

Yes, it was nothing so extraordinary, but I enjoyed my meal, and the service was very good. I would go back again. The table next to me ordered the rib eyes steaks and they looked great!

I always like trying different places! Thanks for your post, Robert!
