Recs needed for Thomaston CT

Phaedrus Jun 23, 2007 06:58 AM

Headed there on Thursday this week. Looking for a good place to eat dinner, not looking for haute cuisine, nor high end, fine linens place.

Local specialties, hometown favorites, pubs, diners, breweries, pizza joints, good Asian places would be awesome.

I've not yet been to this restaurant, but it's got very good word of mouth since it opened about a year ago, Black Rock Tavern. I'll find the telephone #, address and post it later for you.

A great place for a small town New England breakfast is Patti's Place(4 Park St) in the center of town. But you are looking for dinner options.

Thomaston borders the city of Waterbury which opens up a lot more chow options. For a city that size there is a very good variety of “ethnic” restaurants (Peruvian, Brazilian, West Indian, Lebanese, etc..)
