HELP! In need of Divine Chocolate Cake on the Westside

After a tough week, a friend and I are in dire need of a fabulous chocolate cake. Which restaurant on the Westside can provide us with the choco therapy we so desperately need? Of course, if the dinner chow is yummy that's a plus, but the main thing here is the chocolate cake.

Thanks!

I got a slice of chocolate cake the size of my head at Jerry's deli recently. Great. now I'm hungry for chocolate cake.

The Brentwood has a great Devil Sin Chocolate cake. It is like a chocolate-dipped french toast,. Having said that, the desserts are the best part of The Brentwood menu. Everything else is mediocre and overpriced.

Not a great place to go if you want to talk while you eat your cake since the jazz gets played so loud as to render your voicebox useless. Additionally, the place always feels like the home of infidelity.

Not quite chocolate cake, but the brownies at Three Square Cafe on Abbot Kinney are moist and dense as all heck and ridiculously good. Not too big either, so you may as well drop in and try them on the way to getting more cake somewhere else!

We were wanting to go through the motions of having "real food" first before indulging in the desserts, but maybe this does call for a chocolate cake/brownie/souffle progressive dinner.

Lately I've been hooked on 3 Square's chocolate cookies - about the diameter of a softball, crisp on the outside, and barely holding together on the inside with walnuts and all of its dark chocolatey gooeyness... Got Milk?

i like the chocolate lava cake that they serve at brunch at cafe del rey.
you used to be able to order it a la carte, but now that they've changed their brunch policies, maybe not.. . .

Depends whether you want souffle or just a straight up...
              Urth Caffe's is great
              Susina
Viktor Benes' Chocolate Parisian (one of my faves)
Linda's Fabulous Fudge Cake (at cheesecake factory.. i know, but don't roll your eyes til you try it)
Jamaica's Cakes for the choc overload cake
              fudge cake at Vicente Foods
