I'm going for dinner tonight and would love to hear any recs....Thanks!
So, I went and it was good but not great. It's a tiny little space and they had two guys playing music so it got incredibly loud which is kind of a pet peeve of mine. The friend I went with doesn't eat seafood and it's kind of a seafood-heavy menu so that was a challenge. Definitely a very authentic Spanish menu, it seemed. We shared a special of figs stuffed with walnut and goat cheese and topped with a rasberry -- nice combination of salty and sweet. She had the lamb chops which was definitely the best dish of the night and the one thing I would consider going back for. I had the valenciana paella which was pretty ho hum and looked like it was mostly composed of previously frozen peas and carrots and rice. Very few pieces of chorizo and only two pieces of shrimp. Not a great value for the $19 price tag. We shared the bread pudding for dessert which was tasty, although I think it's somewhat hard to ruin bread pudding. Bottom line: it's not somewhere I'll be rushing back. Sad because the neighborhood could certainly use more tasty options!
