Chef Jeff?

Has anyone heard of such a restaurant in the DC area? I'm from out of town and someone recommended this place for an upcoming trip. I googled it and just got a list of links to info on chefs whose first name happens to be Jeff. Any info you can provide about it would be appreciated.

That's the place. Smack dab in the middle of the theater district. Good eating all around that neighborhood, and if I were you, I would start at The Oceanaire up around the corner on 12th, just for the crabcake. Then move to Chef Geoff's for the main course. Then maybe stroll over to 10th and Pennsylvania (Ten Penh, get it?) for dessert or after-dinner drinks....

There's the one mentioned above (it's spelled Geoff, which is why you couldn't find it), and one near American University. It's okay - I've found it to be very hit-or-miss. If you prowl around this board, you'll find plenty of other good options while you're here.

Good point beachgirl....if you're not from the DC area and you're looking for a memorable meal, there are a good 100 places that top Chef Geoff's. You can Google Chef Geoff and you'll see the so-so reviews.
