My husband just informed me it was a bad idea because the fish will not be good on a Monday. I know the general Monday rule but is this always the case? I can't imagine that places like Le Bernardin, Oceana, Esca, etc., don't get regular deliveries, including on Monday. Here's an interesting tidbit. Acc. to Esca's website, Chef David Pasternack is a fisherman, and he often brings the fish he catches off L.I. to the restaurant.
