Wedding Rehearsal Dinner, Seattle
I'm getting married in Seattle in September and have been tasked with finding a good location for the wedding rehearsal dinner. The catch: I've only spent about 2 wks in Seattle and haven't had a chance to eat around. My bride-to-be is from Seattle but hasn't lived their in years; my future MiL (the only member of the planning party in Seattle!) is not much of a diner. I'd like to avoid the adventurous, because there are some picky folks in the group.
Specs: 20 or so people, perhaps a private room, $40-50 max a head.
We'd like someplace in the downtown area to accomodate out of town guests, as the rehearsal itself is at the Stimson-Green Mansion near the University (I think... again, I'm not too knowledgable about the geography)..
Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm frankly at a loss, as many of the places I've read about are small/boutiquey and can't accomodate our party. Awesome food is neither expected nor required, though a nice space with a solid menu would be great.
My closest friend had her rehearsal dinner in the upstairs area at Tulio. I have no idea about cost but it is a solid, attractive restaurant in downtown Seattle (attached to the Vintage Park Hotel if anyone needs accommodations) and who doesn't like Italian? For a very Seattle View out to the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains, you could check out the cost of the private room at Six Seven (the restaurant at the Edgewater Hotel). There you would probably have a lot of seafood options but should be able to keep it pretty basic. Good luck.
