Holy Smokes destroyed by fire
One-of-a-kind artwork, building, furnishings. Just terrible.
I'm glad I checked before posting, hollerhither. I had a customer in Greenfield tell me this morning. I didn't have time to verify it until this afternoon when I called the Hampshire Gazette. What a tragedy but I can't believe that they won't rebuild/relocate. There just too many people, including myself, that loved their 'Que,
Dreadful - we stop there nearly every weekend in the summer - on our way back to CT from kayaking on the Deerfield.
Great restaurant, great folks & they'd just got back from a trip to New Orleans to help folks still recovering from Katrina.
Please let us know if you hear anything else esp regarding relocating
Terrible news. My wife and I always stopped there going down to or coming back from Connecticut. We loved their Q. The Ekus family are wonderful people and PapaLu gets my vote for the best pit boss in New England. Here's hoping that Holy Smokes will rise again.
