Pastazza, Winchester - Good, Cheap Eats

I think Pastazza is a hidden jewel -- the prices are very reasonable, quality is excellent, and portions are ample.
They've recently been granted a beer & wine license, and we've decided that it's our place to go when we want a casual dinner in a relaxed atmosphere --- curious what others think.
Ps --- I can't speak for their pizza

When they opened a couple of years ago my wife and I used to go there on a regular basis. We always found the food to be good and the prices very reasonable. More recently we tend to go to the Swanton St. Diner which is right down the street from Pastazza even more though. The menu is more diverse and the food is very good. We love their seafood risotto which is loaded with calamari, shrimp, scallops and pieces of lobster. Their simple grilled fish like salmon, scrod or swordfish are also very good and always nice and fresh too.

What's the deal with these old Yankee towns getting decent restaurants? Winchester, Wellesley .... Before you know it they'll start opening decent restaurants in Concord, too.

I think it has a lot to do with people not wanting to spend $20.00 on parking so they avois going into the city if there are good choices in the burbs. I would put the Catch Restaurant in Winchester up against any place in Boston for quality of food, service and ambiance.
