Good places to eat in Fremont
I've found a couple of decent chinese, thai, sushi, indian, persian and mexican places... but I just want a decent steak/ non-ethnic food... and not at outback or chili's. I don't like chains.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Its a steakhouse in an early sixties time warp, i.e. iceberg lettuce and tasteless dressing, tiered stainless steel fixings for the baked potato cooked in foil so that its wet inside and not moist, not great quality beef - properly cooked. Its better if this was your life rather than as a nostalgic or ironic vittles journey. Not expensive, but not great either.

re: DezzerSF
A friend and I went to Jack's recently (a Sunday evening) and it was probably one of the worst meals I have ever had. My friend had an asian chicken salad that was supposed to be a special, and I had the BBQ burger. The salad was wilted, watery, and the chicken served to the side. The burger was very overdone (I had asked for rare), and soggy. I asked 3 times for mayo, and finally gave up. We paid for the meal and left in disgust.

Have you tried Beck's steakhouse in Newark? Here's my post from last year.
