Pittsburgh Dining Experiences?

I've checked out the Pittsburgh recommendations on this site and also citysearch, so I have a general idea about the culinary scene. I'm looking for restaurants (upscale or not) that serve dishes with some imagination, with impressive flavor combinations or with an off-beat flare. I'm wondering if I could get a few suggestions that aren't forgettably conventional like SO many upscale restaurants. Thanks.
