Wed Jun 20 09:54:55 -0700 2007 47363 hautec 1 2677577 I was there Friday, and was not quite as impressed as I had been on past visits, (I did not recall the gin drinks being made with beefeater in the past for example) but the drinks are not that outrageous; $12 for their signature cocktails, and $16 for the champagne cocktails. They are made with great care and it is a very pleasant room although I have never been at a really prime hour so I don't know how crowded it can get. The service seems to have gone downhill as have the drinks. I'd still recommend you go check it out for yourself. Their applejack drinks are delicious. I also love the Gin Gin Mule. Truthfully, the prices are comparable to what you'd pay at many other Manhattan establishments for far inferior cocktails. Have a couple of drinks and savor them. Love the Gin Gin Mule and the Jamaican Firefly. Also worth noting - I've never been there at super-busy times, not sure how much that would skew my opinion of the place. I have raved about this place to friends because the cocktails just taste so damn good, particularly the Jasmine Fizz and the one with the egg whites and cardamom. God I dream about that one.
