The bar at Jardiniere is a favorite weeknight splurge. Be sure there isn't a performance going on, though, or if there is time your visit around it.

Good ideas, all. What about lunch bar eating?

There is no bar at Quince. Add Bar Tartine.

I have sat at the bar area and had dinner at Absinthe. They also have high round tables in bar area which can accomodate dinner service but you are in a heavy traffic area where those waiting for tables congregate. Husband and I still did enjoy the area, though.

You can eat the the bar at Boulevard and the Tadich Grill, also at Perbacco (I think).
