Jack & Jill Baby Shower - Stamford to New Haven

I'm trying to organize a baby shower for my sister but I no longer live in southern CT. Any ideas for a lunchy/brunchy place between Stamford and New Haven? I would like to keep the price reasonable. The place doesn't have to be a typical "ladies-brunch / baby shower" type place. Would LOVE something with a little character.

How many people/what day of the week?

Beach Cafe in Fairifield, CT has a nice room upstairs for private parties. They were having a cool baby shower when I was there. Convenient location in Fairfield.

I don't know if this counts as lunchy/brunchy, but my baby shower was at Luigi's in Fairfield. We had chicken parm and eggplant parm for entrees. We had a relatively small group (less than 20, I think). There isn't a private room, but there weren't many people around us when we had it.

Silvermine Tavern in Norwalk might be a good option. They do have a private room. It definitely has character, in the colonial style.
