Does anyone have any recent insight into this area? I'm going to be traveling to Bandon next week solo, and would love to have some recent recommendations on places to eat and or drink. Specifically, i'm going to be wanting to eat some fresh seafood. I'll probably be staying somewhere in the downtown area of Bandon (the resort was booked for the type of room I was looking for). Also, are there any bar and grill type places with decent food and any kind of nightlife? Thanks for any help you can provide!
We were in Bandon a couple of weeks ago around lunch time. There were a couple of informal places right on the waterfront. One focused on grilled and steamed seafood, the other was more of a take out fish and chips. There were tables outside, and in a glass enclosed wind shelter. I had steamer clams from the fish-and-chips place. After we browsed the shops a block away, and got desert from a bakery.
There are sit-down places nearby as well, but I didn't pay much attention to them. Downtown isn't very big (about 4 blocks long), but nicely setup as a lowkey tourist stop.
