Fudge...Delicious Fudge

I was just back in my hometown of Boston and had some wonderful fudge from a fudge shop in Rockport. They had about 10 different flavors or so.

Is there any candy store (or any other type of store for that matter) in DC that serves really delicious fudge? Obviously affordable and metro accessible would be nice.

Sutton Place Gourmet use to carry amazing fudge, I am not sure that if Balducci's still does as I have not been there in a while. I have heard that Thomas Sweet in Georgetown makes fudge but I have never tried it.

What about the chocolate store on L St corner with Connecticut. They have tons of chocolate dont see why they wouldnt have fudge.

Yep, us Libra's look out for each other :-) I have been lurking for a bit but had to post a reply as I love fudge way too much. I may need to trek to Balducci's myself, I bout some Mackinac Island fudge at the airport on the way back from a trip to my birth state and it totally tasted like airport fudge :-(

There is a great fudge shop inside the Market Square food complex -- in Annapolis......

If we're widening our fudge-seeking area as far as Annapolis, let me add that the fudge in the Amish Farmer's Market, in the Annapolis Harbour center, is really great too.

Anything within DC itself? I'm craving fudge but I can't really justify going to Six Flags to get it. lol

I don't know if it's still there, but around 18th & M there used to be a shop called Chocolate Moose. I don't recall if it had fudge or not, though.

You can get really good fudge at the Six Flags America just outside the Beltway... (seriously.)

It's is metroable... but of course, to get to the candy shop, you need to pay park admission.

It is good fudge though... and they have abut 10 flavors. Make a trip of it!

There's a store I just saw advertised (I think it's pretty new?) in Old Town Alexandria called The Sugar Cube. I haven't been there, but it looks like it has just a ton of variety and I would *think* they have fudge. It's at 210 N. Lee St. Bit of a hike from the metro, though. Just an idea!
