How are the tofu burritos at Boca Grande?
I saw an ad in the Weekly Dig saying that Boca Grande is now offering tofu burritos and homemade tamales. Has anyone tried either of these? What variety are the tamales?

Tofu burrito, meh. I'd rather stick with beans and rice, and eventually cheese, if you're looking for a vegetarian option. I'm also not a big fan of the grilled veggies in a burrito, but maybe it's just me.
The tamales are fantastic, for a taqueria. They have both the chicken mentioned above and a tamal de elote which made my mouth very happy. See http://www.chowhound.com/topics/394405 for my review.

I am a big fan of Boca Grande, and I dig tofu, but I don't like the tofu burritos. The tofu doesn't seem to have any marinade. However, it is heavily flavored from charring. Since tofu doesn't have much flavor of its own, it's like you're eating chunks of char. I'd definitely rather have the veggie burrito.
As for the tamales, I think they are wonderful. At least at one time, there was a vegetarian version (elotes). Also there is or was a tomatillo chicken version. (They seem to have changed the tamale lineup recently.)
