Congratulatory dinner suggestions for colleagues

phreerose Jun 19, 2007 07:29 AM

I have to find a place to take out 15 people for an early evening dinner thanking them for their hard work on a completed project. I have $400 to spend and would like everyone to be able to get a drink or two if they want. As far as cuisine anything goes, I was thinking something family-style where we can order a bunch of dishes and all share, but that’s not absolute. Our office is in Midtown (west) so something fairly close by… Thanks.

Daisy Mays BBQ on 11th Ave. BYOB and family style barbecue. Get two orders of the pork butt if you don't want to get the whole pig, which I think is out of your price range.

Can't think of much else - maybe you could get one of the places on 9th ave to do a family style meal for a pre-arranged price. $400 is not much. Maybe Uncle Nick's for Greek food? They have big tables.

It's not necessarily what I think of as excellent food... but nothing says Family Style like Carmine's.

      Hey, how about KTown?

Carmine's was my first thought too, but they are all booked. I'd consider K-town any suggestions though?

Im a big fan of Wonjo in K-town. Authentic Korean bbq and the food is very good.

Woo Chon is pretty good. So is Kum Gang San. You'll need to look at the menu and do the math as far as how much you'll be able to get and how far your 400 will go.
