Delivery from ROCKET PIZZA (downtown)... Yuck!

I'm not exaggerating when I say that the frozen pizza at Trader Joe's is WAY BETTER than Rocket Pizza. I guess they don't have that much competition, which is why they can SUCK and still get customers.

I got their signature Rocket Pizza. With a million toppings, you'd think they could actually get it taste like SOMETHING, but it was so incredibly bland. Ridiculous.

Even worse, their delivery person did not even bring any change with him. If that was their sneaky way of angling for a bigger tip... it did not work.

I certainly hope that PITFIRE pizza downtown is better than this dump!!

My friends and I will occasionally eat here when we're hitting Bar 107, but I don' t think I'd pay for delivery. The in-house service is nice enough, and the young workers are usually pretty quick. The last time I was there, we got the meat lovers, which wasn't bad, but we were certainly not at the peak of our judgment with regards to taste after 3 or 4 hours at the bar.

Pitfire is pretty good, but I'd say the reaction I've seen has been more positive than what I thought it warranted.

I stopped eating at rocket pizza after my 1st time there. Bland cardboard pizza from a conveyor belt.
I've since become huge fans of Pitfire and newcomer Los Angeles Pizza company on Fig behind the texas BBQ King.
      Both deliver too.

        Thanks for the tip!

Rocket's crust tastes just like Domino's, but at twice the price!!

Let's hear about the new Los Angeles Pizza Co.? What else besides pizza? Salads? Can I bring a bottle of wine?

It's a cool little space in the China town theatre really turning that corner around.
Anyways the pizza place is small and also has a cool argentinian cross over feel to it's menu.

Wine, I don't see why not the owners very cool although there's very little seating and only stand up inside.
BUT well worth a try and a delivery.
The sleeper is the the BBQ Turkey sando, top notch.

I had heard that they served empanadas as well, which sort of makes sense if there's a little latin-american flavor to the rest of the menu. I didn't see them on the menu...any truth to this possibly delicious rumor?

I'm actually searching for a decent empanda... but more like the flaky ones you find in Spain. Delicious! I think the Argentinian ones are quite different.
