Wine cooler advice

pulled pork Jun 18, 2007 06:44 AM

We are looking to get a stand alone wine cooler for our apartment.
Not collectors just enjoy wine and tired of taking up space in the fridge.

28 bottles for under $200.00

try going to home depot or sears they have alot of "no name" brand wine coolers that work perfectly fine. i just bought a magic chef 50 bottle one (actually fit 50 bottles in it with oversized pinot's) for 249

Thank you for the advice. Best deal turned out to be a Danby 35 bottle wine cooler from costco for $199 with free shipping to our home. Looking forward to stocking up.

I have three coolers by Danby! They work just fine! My best buy was from Target where there was a clearance for a 35 btl cooler for $75 when I got up from it rang for $35 there was a dent on the top towards the back but who cares! I would say if you drink a lot of Pinot or Chard with the larger bottle don't plan on a cooler fitting all 28 bottles.

Which Target was this? I was looking at some the other day and the Danby and Avanti boxes looked like they had been transferred to the store from Hurricane Katrina's path.

I was hoping this thread would be about Bartles & James et al. What ever happened to beverages being marketed as "wine coolers?" I blame Zima for their demise.

I don't think any of them contain 'wine' any longer. Ah, I have fond memories of B&J times... I believe almost everything akin to what we remember is now a 'malt beverage'

                  Damn, you stole my joke.

I wonder if that Zima guy is still around. Every time I saw that annoying commercial I wanted to punch him in the throat.
