Magnolia Grill Gift Certificate

GrumpyDad Jun 17, 2007 05:23 PM

Dear Hounds,

A valued employee will be leaving and I would like very much to give him a gift certificate (for two) to the Magnolia Grill. Assuming a typical three course dinner with wine, could you advise me on the value of the certificate?

Ate there last night. Two people with two glasses of wine each, one app, two mains, no dessert, one coffee, was $100 +/- plus tip.

Two of us received a $150 gift certificate last fall, and it was just the right amount to cover 3 courses and a glass of wine each, plus a 20-25 percent tip. Perhaps $200 if you think he'd like to buy a bottle of wine?

        $180, w/ t&t.

I'd venture to say $100 before wine, so maybe $125-150 with wine. Lucky employee!!

My apologies for being so parochial--I was referring to the Magnolia Grill in Durham, NC

No apology necessary; unfortunately though- that is one I can't help you with!

I would say 125 to 150, but this depends upon the wine and how much. We spend about 125 for two including cocktail and one glass of wine for me, SO does not drink, and 3 courses.
