re: Trixie Too
In Beverly, Tryst and Harry's 240 are always good. Tryst is more date night place and Harry's is a great place to have a beer at the bar and enjoy tasty-mid priced food.
Stay away from Mandrake, had an aweful experience recently.
In Salem, Grapevine and The Old Spot. Grapevine more high end, and Old spot is great pub grub.
Stay away from Finz.

You've got good suggestions for Beverly above. For Salem:
1. Grapevine is very good.
2. Finz has some vocal detractors on this board, but I've had good experiences there.
3. Haven't been to Cilantro, but have been to their little casual outlet around the corner from them, Taste of Cilantro. Liked it, myself. Cilantro itself has gotten some gripes around here.
4. Didn't like the Lyceum at all when I went, though I've seen some folks speak well of it on this board.
5. Didn't enjoy Strega or the Dodge Street Bar and Grill, and found Salem Beer Works kind of meh for food. -

We've enjoyed Big Bully's in Beverly Plaza. Great burgers, multiple types of fries, EVERY flavor of Richardson's ice cream. The last time we were there the owner gave us so many ice cream "samples" (huge spoonfuls) that I didn't need to order any.
I also like Garden City Pub in North Beverly. They have a nice variety of sandwiches, pastas, etc at reasonable prices.

One of my favorite restaurants is in Beverly - The Wild Horse. Actually, it's official name is "Brenden Crocker's Wild Horse Cafe." I just call it the Wild Horse.
It's at 392 Cabot Street. I ate there two weeks ago - I try to go 2-3 times a month. I've never had a bad meal. Their wine list has nice depth. My favorite appetizer is the fried oysters. The oysters were served with mixed greens and sweet potato frites. Awesome!
