Pre-theater dinner for 11 - Saturday night

We have tickets to Wicked on Saturday, 6/23 and we have a party of 11. I would like to make reservations now, since I am sure a party of 11 will not be easy to seat without them. Do you have any suggestions for a nice restaurant in the area? I would prefer Italian, American/Continental, etc. Not too worried about price, but don't want anything overly pretentious. Just good food, atmosphere and close to theater. Thanks!

I think West Bank Cafe, on 42nd St., b/t 9th & 10th Avs., could handle a group of 11. Excellent New American cuisine, good service, and pleasant atmospherics.

Trattoria Trecolori, a favorite of mine and many other Hounds, has finally re-opened in their new location, on 47th St., b/t B'way & 8th Av.. While I haven't been back yet, the Italian food they serve has always been well-prepared and tasty. I'm sure they can handle a group your size.

Carmine's is an Italian red sauce place serving family style platters in the west 40s. It sounds appropriate for a group of 11 looking for theater district Italian.
